Job summary

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, is seeking an LPN to provide clinical nursing care on a designated unit. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and patient education within a multidisciplinary team.

You’ll supervise and support care plans, respond to emergencies, and participate in treatment discussions as needed. A PA LPN license is required, with preferred D&A/mental health experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a licensed practical nurse.
• One year experience in D&A and/or mental health nursing preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit.
• Be accountable for assigned nursing care activities and promote professional practice under supervision.
• Monitor and document patient condition and interventions, report findings to Charge Nurse/RN.
• Monitor care plans and participate in Treatment Team meetings as necessary.
• Provide supportive counseling and patient education.
• Administer medications according to safe practices and educate patients.
• Respond to crisis/emergency events to ensure patient safety.

Part‑Time and PRN available: some benefits and sign‑on bonus are excluded!

LPN Role/Responsibilities

• The Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
• The Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
• Monitors and documents patient condition and interventions provided reporting finding to the unit Charge Nurse/RN
• Monitors Nursing and Clinical Care plans and participates in Treatment Team meetings as necessary
• Provides supportive counseling and patient education
• The Licensed Practical Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices , including patient education
• The Licensed Practical Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety
