Job summary

Roxbury Treatment Center, part of Universal Health Services, is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for day shift (6:30am-7:00pm) in Shippensburg, PA. This full-time role includes benefits, rotating weekends/holidays, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Overtime coverage and other shifts may be available.

Join a 112-bed behavioral health facility offering psychiatric, detoxification, and rehab services. PA licensure required; D&A/mental health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• One year of experience in D&A and/or mental health nursing preferred but not required.
• LPN licensure and registration with PA Board of Nurse Examiners.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit per facility philosophy and objectives.
• Be accountable for assigned care activities and promote professional practice under supervision.
• Monitor patient condition and document interventions; report findings to Charge Nurse/RN.
• Participate in Treatment Team meetings and monitor care plans.
• Provide supportive counseling and patient education.
• Administer medications following safe practices and educate patients.
• Respond to crisis/emergency events to ensure patient safety.

This opportunity is full-time, offers full benefits, and a convenient days(6:30am-7:00pm) schedule and rotates every other weekend and holiday.

Part-Time and PRN available: some benefits and sign-on bonus are excluded!

There is opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested.

LPN Role/Responsibilities

• The Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
• The Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
• Monitors and documents patient condition and interventions provided reporting finding to the unit Charge Nurse/RN
• Monitors Nursing and Clinical Care plans and participates in Treatment Team meetings as necessary
• Provides supportive counseling and patient education
• The Licensed Practical Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices , including patient education
• The Licensed Practical Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety
