Job summary

Topaz Fiscal Services is seeking a dedicated LPN to support resident care within our Christian Heights team. The role involves implementing physician orders, supervising LPNs/LVNs/CNAs, and providing total nursing care for residents.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, administering medications, starting IVs, and coordinating with other departments to ensure timely therapies and procedures. This position emphasizes compassionate patient care and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in good standing.
• Experience supervising LPNs, LVNs and CNAs.
• Ability to implement physician orders and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident care plans using the nursing process; document outcomes.
• Lead team conferences to develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments as ordered and document results.
• Ensure supplies are used economically and equipment maintained safely.
• Coordinate nursing care with other departments for therapy and procedures.
• Record observations and reactions; initiate emergency measures as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

POSITION PURPOSE:

Work with physicians, implementing orders for medications, treatments and special test. Supervise LPN's, LVN's and CNA's, providing them support in order that they may provide total nursing care for residents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess resident care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomesrelated to nursing care.
• Initiate and lead team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans; assess and document residents condition and nursing needs; assign team members who have the capabilities and qualifications to meet residents needs
• Implement physicians orders administer medications, starts IV's perform treatments, procedures and special tests and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations
• Ensure supplies are used economically and equipment is clean and maintained in a safer manner
• Coordinate nursing care of residents scheduled for therapy and procedures by other departments
• Report and Record observations and reactions regarding residents
• Assist or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments
• Perform additional duties as assigned
