Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Great Falls, MT is seeking an LPN with management capabilities to lead nursing operations in a long-term care setting. You will ensure patient needs are met in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and regulatory guidelines, while supervising staff and coordinating care.

You will apply infection control knowledge, participate in quality improvement, and educate families and patients as part of a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• One year of nursing management experience preferred.
• Long term care experience preferred.
• PointClick Care charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care within scope of practice to meet patient needs per standards and physician orders.
• Demonstrates knowledge and uses the Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in Quality Improvement program and uses the Quality Life Manual for patient placement and monitoring.
• Notifies departments of patient changes and conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications and treatments timely according to facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act.

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LPN in state
• One-year prior nursing managementexperience preferred
• LONG TERM CARE EXPERIENCE
• PIONT CLICK CARE CHARTING EXPERIENCE
