Midwest Center of Youngstown is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for day shift to join our rehabilitative behavioral health facility focused on addiction treatment. Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications within your scope of practice.
• Performs nursing assessments at intake, shift, and discharge and documents in the EHR.
• Reconciles medications at shift end and enforces infection control practices by direct care staff.
• Collaborates with physician, ARNP, and treatment team to implement care plans.
• Provides emotional support and education to patients and families.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Day Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Midwest Center of Youngstown, a rehabilitative behavioral health facility dedicated to providing treatment for individuals struggling with addiction. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in guiding patients through their detox process, administering medications, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and makes independent decisions within the scope of your license involving patient care
• Conducts nursing assessments during intake, shift assessments, and discharge assessments, and maintains accurate records through our Electronic Health System
• Reconciles medication at the end of each shift and ensures that direct care staff performs proper infection control measures
• Collaborates with the medical team, including the attending physician, ARNP, and Clinical Treatment Team, to develop and implement treatment plans
• Provides emotional support and education to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Current LPN license
• 1+ years of experience as an LPN in a detox or similar treatment facility environment
• State LPN license in good standing
• Maintains current CPR certification
• Detox and Psychiatric Nursing experience required
• Ability to recognize signs and symptoms of withdrawal pain and of a critically dangerous medical emergency and respond appropriately
