Job summary

Argon Agency in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate medical care in a mental health and/or substance use treatment setting. The LPN will administer medications, monitor health, and support a safe environment for recovery.

Under RN or physician supervision, you will perform assessments, document changes, and collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and case managers to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Ohio LPN license.
• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
• Experience in mental health, substance use, or behavioral health settings preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and medication management skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including health monitoring and medication administration.
• Conduct routine assessments of clients’ physical and mental health conditions.
• Assist with withdrawal management and monitor symptoms in detox (if applicable).
• Document patient progress, medication administration, and any changes in condition accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and case managers to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate clients and families on medications, treatment plans, and overall health and wellness.
• Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies and provide necessary interventions.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control procedures, and healthcare regulations.

The LPN will work under the supervision of an RN or physician, administering medications, monitoring client health, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including health monitoring and medication administration.
