Job summary

Midwest Center of Youngstown in Austintown, Ohio is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for day shift to support detox and behavioral health treatment. You will administer medications and guide patients through the detox process as part of an interdisciplinary team.

You will conduct nursing assessments at intake and discharge, document in the electronic health system, and collaborate with physicians, ARNPs, and the treatment team to implement care plans.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Ohio.
• 1+ year of detox or psychiatric nursing experience.
• CPR certification current.
• Experience in detox/psychiatric setting.
• Able to respond to withdrawal and medical emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications within licensure.
• Conducts intake, shift, and discharge nursing assessments.
• Reconciles medications at shift end and ensures infection control.
• Collaborates with physician, ARNP, and treatment team to implement plans.
• Provides emotional support and education to patients and families.
