Midwest Center of Youngstown, located in Austintown, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the day shift to support detox and recovery efforts within a rehabilitative behavioral health setting.

The role involves administering medications, conducting comprehensive nursing assessments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing.
• 1+ year of LPN experience in detox or similar treatment facility.
• State LPN license in good standing.
• CPR certification.
• Detox and psychiatric nursing experience required.
• Ability to recognize withdrawal signs and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and makes independent decisions within the scope of your license involving patient care.
• Conducts nursing assessments during intake, shift assessments, and discharge assessments, and maintains accurate records through our Electronic Health System.
• Reconciles medication at the end of each shift and ensures that direct care staff performs proper infection control measures.
• Collaborates with the medical team, including the attending physician, ARNP, and Clinical Treatment Team, to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Provides emotional support and education to patients and their families.

As an LPN, you will play a vital role in guiding patients through their detox process, administering medications, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
