Ramsey County is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the correctional health team at the Law Enforcement Center. This is a 0.8 FTE position under direct supervision to provide nursing services, administer medications, injections, and perform diagnostic tests within the correctional setting.
The role involves collaborating with on-site healthcare and custody staff, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Under direct supervision assist the Registered Nurse – Correctional Health in the provision of nursing services by carrying out prescribed treatments including administering medications, injections, and/or immunizations and performing various diagnostic or preventive screening tests. Works collaboratively with the on-site healthcare team and correctional personnel to perform job specific functions unique to the correctional environment and inmate population; and to perform related duties as assigned.
The work assigned to a position in this classification may not include all possible tasks in this description and does not limit the assignment of any additional tasks in this classification. Regular attendance according to the position’s management approved work schedule is required.
Completion of a practical nursing program approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
One year of LPN experience.
Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Minnesota. Current CPR/BLS certification.
