Job summary

The Addison of Cherry Hill, part of Senior Lifestyle Corporation, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide licensed nursing services in our assisted living community. This full-time position involves medication administration, admissions assessments, and developing care plans under state and federal guidelines.

A valid LPN license in New Jersey, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of senior-care experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have LPN license in New Jersey and CPR certification.
• 1+ year of experience in senior care or related field.
• English proficiency to perform duties and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications in accordance with Federal & State regulations and company guidelines.
• Assist with admissions assessments and documentation for new residents.
• Develop and maintain acute and long-term service plans or care plans.
• Track clinical information (e.g., wounds, infection control) under direction.
• Provide health-related consultations to residents and staff.
• Notify physicians or families of health changes and document properly.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and coordinate with staff.
• Educate residents and staff on health-related topics.

• Responsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
• May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation.
• Responsible for completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
• May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the director.
• Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.
• Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation.
• Respond quickly to all emergencies.
• Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
• May be responsible for discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.
• Hourly Pay Rate: $34.00.

Level of Formal Education: Training from an accredited licenses or vocational nursing program
Area of Study: General nursing
Years of Experience: 1+ years
Type of Experience: Senior care or related field
Special Certifications: Must have a Licensed Practical Nurse’s License current in the state in which they are practicing. Also, needs to be CPR Certified.
Language Skills: Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
