Job summary

Together Women’s Health, LLC, through its Southeast Urogyn partner practice, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide high-quality, individualized care within a collaborative clinical team.

The LPN will document EMR interventions, support physicians, and assist with exams while ensuring HIPAA/OSHA compliance and patient education throughout the care process.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and readies them for physicians; take vital signs and record medical history.
• Prepare patients for examinations or treatments.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and scheduling with office staff.
• Provide patient education and information to patients and families.
• Communicate with other specialties to address health care needs.
• Maintain organization and complete tasks promptly.
• Clean and stock exam rooms and prepare instruments.
• Complete paperwork for lab tests, x-rays, and notes.
• Counsel patients on lifestyle, medications, and interactions.
• Ensure health care regulatory compliance (HIPAA/OSHA).
• Document EMR interventions.
• Perform general administrative duties.

Overview

Southeast Urogyn, a Partner Practice of Together Women’s Health (TWH), an industry leading network of medical providers in the women’s health field, is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their clinical team. As an experienced practitioner, the LPN is accountable for providing high quality, individualized, goal directed care for all patients and their families through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and readies them for physicians; takes vital signs, records medical history/symptoms, ensures medical chart/lab test results are available and complete
• Prepare patients for and assist with examination or treatments
• Communicates to patients and office coordinators follow-up appointments, ancillary and/or pre-operative testing and scheduling needed for patient
• Provides education and information to patients and family members
• Consults with other specialties and disciplines as appropriate to meet all health care needs of patients
• Uses organizational skills to effectively complete assignments in timely manner
• Cleans and stocks all patient examination rooms; cleans and prepares instruments for procedures; keeps list of needed medical supplies
• Completes paperwork such as ordering lab tests, x-rays, school/work notes, FMLA, etc.
• Counsels’ patients concerning lifestyle modifications, medication regimens, side effects, and interactions using an appropriate psychosocial communication level
• Understand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirements
• Perform office procedures including all general administrative duties
• Document Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventions
• Assure HIPAA and OSHA compliance
