Job summary

The Lodge at Sandhills Carolina in Pinehurst, NC is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our new state-of-the-art facility. You will plan, coordinate, provide, and manage nursing care for residents under the Director of Nursing.

We value patience, compassion, and a gentle, empathetic approach. The role includes supervising CNAs, coordinating unit care, and safe medication administration in a supportive team setting.

Qualifications

• LPN licensure in good standing.
• Experience in long-term care or nursing home settings preferred.
• Strong patient-focused care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate nursing care on the unit, assuring appropriate care by assigned staff.
• Provide safe and accurate medication interventions to residents.
• Transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Notify the physician of changes in status and implement new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment and implementing nursing care.
• Institute nursing interventions to stabilize residents and prevent complications.
• Contribute to residents’ assessments and care plans.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents. This role requires patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the residents’ assessment and the development of care plans.
