SanStone Health & Rehabilitation at The Lodge at Sandhills Carolina in Pinehurst, NC is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility focused on exceptional hospitality and resident-centered care.

Under the Director of Nursing, LPNs will plan, coordinate, and provide nursing care, supervise CNAs, administer medications, transcribe orders, update care plans, and communicate changes in residents' status to physicians.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in North Carolina
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
• Strong patient-centered care and compassionate communication

Responsibilities

• Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff on the unit
• Coordinate nursing care for assigned residents on the unit
• Provide safe and accurate medication administration and related interventions
• Transcribe and implement physician orders accurately
• Notify physician of changes in residents' status and document orders
• Develop and update plan of care based on assessments
• Institute appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize residents and prevent complications
• Contribute to resident assessments and care plan development

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents. This role requires patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the residents’ assessment and the development of care plans.
