Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation is seeking licensed practical nurses (LPNs) to join our team at The Lodge at Sandhills Carolina in Pinehurst, NC. You will plan, coordinate, provide, and manage nursing care and health education for residents with patience and compassion.

Under the Director of Nursing, you will supervise nursing staff, administer medications, transcribe orders, and develop individualized care plans to promote residents’ well-being in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• LPN license in NC is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate care for residents.
• Provide safe medication administration and document physician orders.
• Develop and implement a plan of care based on assessments.
• Communicate changes in resident status to physicians and update orders.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents. This role requires patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the residents’ assessment and the development of care plans.
