Apple Rehab Gardner Heights in Shelton, CT is seeking an LPN Charge Nurse to join our 110-bed skilled nursing community. The role involves planning, executing, and overseeing nursing services, adhering to quality standards, and following physician instructions.

Starting pay up to $37 per hour based on experience, with shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts, weekend differential of $2.50, and extra $5.00/hour for shifts outside scheduled hours. Full-Time 3-11 (32 hours) and Per Diem available.

Qualifications

• Valid state nursing license in good standing (or in the process of becoming a registered nurse).
• In-depth knowledge of nursing practices and long-term care regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee nursing services for assigned residents.

Key Duties

• Efficiently plans and provides professional care while aligning with the needs of residents and the changing medical landscape.
• Maintains professionalism in interactions with residents, physicians, families, peers, and support staff.
• Documents crucial information related to resident care accurately and comprehensively.
• Administers prescribed medications and oversees accurate record-keeping in line with facility policies.

Requirements

• Valid state nursing license in good standing (or in the process of becoming a registered nurse).
• In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and long-term care regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Collaborative team player with previous experience in long-term care preferred.

Additional Expectations

All LPN positions require weekend on-call availability to support both staff and residents. Compensation details available upon inquiry. Per diem staff are expected to fulfill (2) weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.
