Job summary

Apple Rehab Clipper in Westerly, RI is seeking an LPN Charge Nurse to oversee nursing services for residents and rehabilitation participants. Applicants must hold a valid LPN license and demonstrate strong clinical skills along with the ability to lead a compassionate care team.

Starting pay is competitive up to $37 per hour, based on experience, with a $5.00/hour differential for shifts outside scheduled hours. Available shifts include 7-3pm and 3-11pm, with weekend on-call expectations.

Responsibilities

The LPN Charge Nurse plays a pivotal role in planning, executing, and overseeing nursing services for assigned residents. This includes adhering to quality care standards, facility policies, legal requirements, medical practices, and physician instructions.

LPN Key Duties:

• Efficiently plans and provides professional care while aligning with the needs of residents and the changing medical landscape.
• Maintains professionalism in interactions with residents, physicians, families, peers, and support staff.
• Documents crucial information related to resident care accurately and comprehensively.
• Administers prescribed medications and oversees accurate record-keeping in line with facility policies.

LPN Requirements:

• Valid state LPN nursing license in good standing
• In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and long-term care regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Collaborative team player with previous experience in long-term care preferred.

Additional Expectations:

All LPN positions require weekend on-call availability to support both staff and residents. Compensation details available upon inquiry. Per diem staff are expected to fulfill (2) weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.
