Job summary

Sunnyside Care Center in East Syracuse, NY is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to join our nursing team. You will provide direct patient care, maintain safety and privacy standards, and support patients and families with compassionate attention.

Prior medical setting experience and a valid LPN license are preferred. This in-person role offers shift flexibility, with full-time and part-time options in a long-term care environment.

Qualifications

• LPN license or eligibility preferred.
• Experience in a medical setting is required or preferred.
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care and emotional support.

Responsibilities

• Set up a safe environment for patients.
• Provide effective nursing care to patients.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
• Report changes in patient's conditions to physician or RN.
• Discharge patients and assist in transportation if needed.
• Record observations and vital signs.
• Inform physicians of patient progress.
• Arrange for special services for the patient if necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing

Sunnyside Care Center is actively looking for LPNs to join our nursing team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and support to patients.

The LPN will also assist in maintaining high standards of patient safety, privacy, care and cleanliness. Previous experience in a medical setting and/or as a Licensed Practical Nurse is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Set up a safe environment for patients.

• Provide effective nursing care to patients.

• Provide emotional support to patients and their families.

• Report changes in patient's conditions to physician or registered nurse.

• Discharge patients and assist in transportation if needed.

• Record observations and vital signs.

• Inform physicians of patient's progress and of any problems that require their attention.

• Arrange for special services (i.e. meals) for the patient if necessary.

• Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing
