Job summary

PIEETS Advantage Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a long-term care facility in New York. You will provide compassionate care to residents, perform clinical nursing duties, and contribute to a positive living environment.

You will work under RN supervision, administer medications within policy, and collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to improve resident quality of life.

Qualifications

• Complete accredited LPN program.
• Current New York State Practical Nurse license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for residents with complex needs, including hygiene, medical treatment, nutrition, ambulation, and elimination.
• Maintain resident safety and comfort.
• Direct care provided by Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Administer medications to assigned residents (excluding certain IV medications).
• Perform IV therapy tasks (for certified LPNs), including venipuncture, fluid administration, and dressing changes.
• Admit new residents and assist with environmental adjustment.

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at a long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care to residents, perform nursing duties, and contribute to a positive living environment.

Job Summary

• Perform tasks within the framework of case finding and provision of supportive and restorative care under RN supervision
• Provide nursing care to assigned residents in accordance with facility policies
• Enhance residents' quality of life
• Function as a member of the nursing and interdisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for residents with complex needs, including hygiene, medical treatment, nutrition, ambulation, and elimination
• Maintain resident safety and comfort
• Direct care provided by Certified Nursing Assistants
• Administer medications to assigned residents (excluding blood products, first IV solutions with medications, IV push medications, and central line medications)
• Perform IV therapy tasks (for certified LPNs), including venipuncture, fluid administration, and dressing changes
• Administer treatments according to facility policies
• Prepare residents for diagnostic tests, procedures, and transportation
• Admit new residents and assist with environmental adjustment
• Participate in Person Centered Care planning and implementation
• Contribute to care plan development and updates
• Assist with health teaching for residents and families
• Establish positive relationships with residents and families
• Participate in unit/team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
• Monitor nutritional needs and assist with mealtime activities
• Assist with post-mortem care as needed

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited LPN program
• Current New York State Practical Nurse license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) or NY State CPR certification
• Demonstrated competence in nursing skills within the scope of practice
• Ability to establish positive team morale and interpersonal relationships

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant experience in long-term care or similar setting
