Job summary

Newport Post Acute in Newport News, VA is seeking an LPN to join our compassionate nursing team. The role focuses on safe, person-centered care and support for residents under the guidance of the Nurse Manager and interdisciplinary staff.

We offer full-time and part-time schedules, shifts across day, evening, and night, with an hourly range of $29–$33 based on experience; Daily Pay and incentive-based options are available to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia LPN license required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Ability to care for multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in accordance with accepted standards of nursing practice, the written plan of care, and the physician’s plan of treatment.
• Follow and implement individualized care plans developed by the Nurse Manager and interdisciplinary team.
• Perform medication administration and prescribed treatments in accordance with the plan of care (POC) and facility policies.
• Monitor residents’ conditions, report changes promptly to the supervising nurse or physician, and respond appropriately to clinical needs.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and regulatory standards.
• Support a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment for residents and their families.

Hourly Range: $29.00 – $33.00/hr (Based on Experience & Incentives) ALL INCLUSIVE

No Frills Program For Full-Time Employees:

If you opt for no benefits (no vacation, sick time, personal days, or holidays), you’ll earn an additional $3/hour on top of your base pay.

Shift Differentials ($1.50 for 3pm -11pm & $1.50 For 11pm - 7am)
