Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL, seeks an LVN/LPN for the Emergency Services department. The role is part-time, nights (7p–7a) with rotating weekends and holidays, self-scheduling. It offers a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits through Prime Healthcare. Location: Joliet, IL 60435.

The LVN/LPN provides nursing care under RN supervision, focusing on safety, comfort and patient experience in the emergency setting. LPN/LVN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV and BW certification within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain.
• Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and comfort, improving patient experience in emergencies.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver timely care.

Responsibilities

The LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring clinical competence within the scope of practice in accordance with state requirements. In collaboration with the healthcare team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LVN/LPN works to maintain safety, provide patient comfort and care and improve the overall patient experience in the emergency care setting.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.

3. IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.

4. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

5. Work experience in health care preferred.
