Job summary

Anson Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for night shift to join our care team in North Carolina. This full-time position runs 12 hours from 7pm to 7am, with a sign-on bonus available and an unrestricted LPN license required.

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the LPN will supervise aides, coordinate patient care, administer medications, transcribe orders, and participate in care planning to ensure residents receive compassionate, high-quality

Responsibilities

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents. Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and /or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.
