Palmetto Pain Management in Columbia, SC seeks an enthusiastic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our fast-paced, 12-provider practice. You will contribute to high‑quality outpatient care in interventional pain management and regenerative medicine, with training and opportunities for advancement.

The role emphasizes hands-on clinical duties, strong documentation, and collaboration with physicians and the clinical team.

Qualifications

  • Current South Carolina LPN license.
  • Experience in pain management or high-volume outpatient care preferred.
  • Experience training, mentoring, or coordinating others a plus.
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients and recording vital signs.
  • Reviewing medications and allergies.
  • Maintaining complete and accurate medical records.
  • Preparing examination rooms and assisting physicians during procedures.
  • Providing provider-directed patient education and instructions.
  • Supporting onboarding and training of clinical staff.
  • Reinforcing clinical, documentation, and safety standards.
  • Identifying workflow issues and assisting leadership to resolve them.

About the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and wants to grow with our practice. Our ideal candidate combines strong clinical skills with sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.


This is a hands-on clinical role with meaningful opportunity to take ownership of daily workflows and help the broader clinical team operate at a high level. Candidates who are comfortable helping set the pace, reinforcing high standards, and supporting the development of their teammates will be especially successful. Formal management experience is not required, but experience training, mentoring, or coordinating others is a plus.


A current LPN license valid for practice in South Carolina is required. Experience in pain management, a specialty medical practice, or a high-volume outpatient setting is preferred, but not required.

Major Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:


  • Rooming patients, measuring vital signs, and obtaining relevant medical histories and protected health information

  • Reviewing and documenting medications, allergies, symptoms, and other clinical information

  • Maintaining complete and accurate medical records

  • Preparing examination and procedure rooms

  • Assisting physicians and other clinical staff during examinations and office-based procedures

  • Performing nursing duties within the LPN scope of practice, provider instructions, and established practice protocols

  • Providing patients with provider-directed education and instructions, while escalating clinical concerns appropriately

  • Helping maintain organized and efficient daily clinical workflows

  • Supporting the onboarding, training, and development of clinical team members

  • Reinforcing established clinical, documentation, safety, and patient-service standards

  • Identifying workflow issues and working with clinical and operational leadership to resolve them

  • Monitoring inventory and ordering medical supplies and materials

  • Supporting the clinical and operations teams by providing coverage where needed

  • Bringing a positive attitude, taking initiative, and accepting ownership of responsibilities and outcomes
