Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Entity: CCH

Location: Chester County Hospital - 701 E Marshall St, West Chester, PA 19380

Hours: 1.0 FTE (40 Hrs per Week), Day Shift

Position Summary:
  • Provides direct clinical care for Penn Medicine employees and Occupational Health Center clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct clinical care for Penn Medicine employees and Occupational Health Center clients. This includes all aspects of occupational health physical examinations (pre-employment, annual, OSHA, Hazmat, etc.).
  • Clinical tasks: rooming patients, vital signs, reviewing medical history, obtaining lab specimens, assisting with procedures.
  • Provide screening services including Fit Testing (Qualitative & Quantitative), audiometric testing, Spirometry, Vision, EKG’s, Phlebotomy, TB testing, immunizations, drug and alcohol testing.
  • Enter and maintain patient data in electronic medical records (Systoc & PennChart).
  • Communicate patient status to client companies, including all Penn Medicine entities.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff on health system screening and immunization programs (e.g., Flu Vaccine, COVID Vaccine, Fit Testing).
  • Conduct Penn Medicine employee COVID testing.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff on Red Pass management of COVID positive employees.
Other Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain knowledge of occupational medicine services and certifications.
  • Maintain BLS/CPR certification and assist in Code situations.
  • Pass and maintain hospital’s educational and departmental competencies.
  • Support department's customer service and performance improvement goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Possess age-specific knowledge and skills to meet patients’ needs.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Licensure, Certification or Registration Requirements:
  • Active Pennsylvania State Practical Nurse License (LPN).
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
Related Work Experience:
  • Preferred experience in Occupational Health, including client care for occupational issues, workers’ compensation, and government regulations.
  • At least two (2) years working as an LPN.

  • Professionalism, customer service orientation, teamwork, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
