Job summary

Stilwell Nursing & Rehab is seeking an LPN to provide compassionate geriatric care. You will follow physician orders, perform detailed assessments, and support residents with daily medical needs.

You will record patient histories, monitor vital signs, administer medications and injections, collect lab samples, and communicate with families. A current state LPN license, background check, and compliance with regulations are required.

Qualifications

• Have a current state LPN License.
• 1-year experience as an LPN, in a community-based care setting (preferred).
• Follow State regulations as well as company policies and guidelines.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• LPN students who meet certain criteria may be considered for this position!

Responsibilities

• Follow Physician orders and provide detailed assessment data for quality resident care.
• Record a patient’s medical history accurately; take and record vital signs.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress and side-effects of medications.
• Document any change in patients’ condition and notify Physician or supervisor.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas, clean and dress wounds.
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions.
