RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD LPN) for day shifts at Bear Creek ICF in La Grange, NC. This full-time role delivers holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and supports the inter-disciplinary team.

You will assist with medications, health training for unlicensed staff, and coordination of routine medical appointments. The schedule is 7am–7pm, on-site, with a focus on high-quality, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited licensed nurse program.
• Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported.
• Provide health related training to unlicensed personnel.
• Administer medications and treatments or assist with medication administration.
• Support scheduling of preventative and routine medical appointments.
• Conduct medication closest assessments.
• Collect health related data.
• Observe and report abnormal health findings to the physician.
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, and the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Advocate for people supported and assist with developing community supports.

Type: Regular

Location: La Grange, NC (On-Site)

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $32/hr

Incentives: No sign-on bonus being offered. No relocation packaged offered.

Schedule: 7am - 7pm

Job Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported
• Provide health related training to unlicensed personnel
• Administer medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administration
• Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled
• Conduct medication closest assessments
• Collect health related data
• Observe for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physician
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team
• Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supported

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program
• Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
• Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
• Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families
• Must be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks

• Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
