Job summary
New Jersey Institute for Disabilities is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse I (LPN I) to work with adults in a residential program in Aberdeen, NJ. The LPN I will coordinate medical care, administer medications, and ensure the well-being of residents.
The ideal candidate holds a NJ State Practical Nurse License, HS diploma, and a valid driver's license; experience with g-tube feedings and IDD is preferred. NJID offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
- Must hold a NJ State Practical Nurse License.
- HS diploma or equivalent is required.
- Valid driver's license in good standing.
- Experience with g-tube feedings.
- Experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate medical care for individuals served and training for staff.
- Administer medications and complete documentation promptly.
- Accompany individuals to medical appointments and activities as needed.
- Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
- Data entry using Therap (EHR).
- Implement medically prescribed diets and exercise programs.
- Complete necessary program operation documentation promptly.
