Job summary

Allies, Inc. is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care for individuals with developmental disabilities living in the community in New Jersey.

This role requires administering medications, promoting health, and coordinating with the IDT to support independence and wellbeing. You will work with a dedicated team, adhere to state policies, and complete required trainings including CPR, First Aid, and safety checks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing school.
• Licensed NJ LPN capable of nursing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care effectively by ensuring the general well-being of each individual served while promoting a consumer-oriented approach to health care.
• Administers medication and completes documentation of same.
• Assists individuals, as necessary in daily living skills.
• Accompanies individuals to and from medical appointments and activities.
• Accurately completes all in-house documentation.
• Attends conferences, seminars and training relevant to the position.
• Implements medically prescribed diets and exercise programs.
• Works with each individual’s Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and all other interested parties to build self-esteem and social capital for each individual served.
