Job summary

New Jersey Institute for Disabilities is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse I (LPN I) to work with adults in a residential program in Aberdeen, NJ. The LPN I will coordinate medical care, administer medications, and ensure the well-being of residents.

The ideal candidate holds a NJ State Practical Nurse License, HS diploma, and a valid driver's license; experience with g-tube feedings and IDD is preferred. NJID offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must hold a NJ State Practical Nurse License.
• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Experience with g-tube feedings.
• Experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical care for individuals served and training for staff.
• Administer medications and complete documentation promptly.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments and activities as needed.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Data entry using Therap (EHR).
• Implement medically prescribed diets and exercise programs.
• Complete necessary program operation documentation promptly.

New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID) is the nation's largest not-for-profit agency. It services infants, children, and adults with developmental and related disabilities. We are currently recruiting for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse I (LPN I) to work with adults with developmental and related disabilities in a residential program setting in Aberdeen, NJ. The qualified candidate will provide nursing care to group home residents while ensuring the general well-being of each individual served.

Job Responsibilities of an LPN I:

• Responsible for coordinating medical care for the individuals served and providing training to LPNs, DSPs, andthe Management team.
• Administers medication and medical treatments as required and completes documentation
• Accompanies individuals to and from medical appointments and activities as needed
• Assists with activities of daily living as needed
• Data entry using Therap (EHR)
• Implements medically prescribed diets and exercise programs
• Completes documentation that is necessary for program operations promptly

Job Requirements:

• A valid NJ State Practical Nurse License
• HS diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver's license in good standing is required and must be insurable under NJID's automobile insurance.
• Experience with g-tube feedings
• Experience working with intellectual, developmental, and related disabilities preferred

Position Details:

Location: Aberdeen County: Monmouth

Hours Per Work Week: 40 Weekly Work Schedule: Mon.-Fri. flexible to meet the needs of the program.

Other shifts are available at this location.
