An established industry player is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join their dedicated team in Blue Ash. This position works for Hospice of Cincinnati Central Inpatient Unit in Blue Ash. The hours are: 7p-730a (night shift). Must be willing to float to the 4 inpatient care centers as needed (Anderson, Blue Ash, Hamilton, & Christ) and Continuous Care. Mileage reimbursement is offered when floating. Scheduled Shift Float incentive. Weekend incentive. Conducts bedside shift reporting; point of care charting; demonstrates flexibility. Knowledge of computer systems, basic keyboarding skills and able to perform computer related tasks.
Job Overview:
This position contributes to the nursing assessment by collecting, reporting, and documenting objective and subjective data. This position also participates in the development of the Nursing component of the plan of care at the direction of an RN, physician, dentist, podiatrist, or optometrist, and implements the plan of care by providing direct basic nursing care in accordance with the LPN scope of practice set forth in the Nurse Practice Act. Contributes to the evaluation of client responses to nursing care and documents in an accurate and timely manner.
Job Requirements:
Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program in Nursing
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
Licensed Practical Nurse
NAPNES certification-if graduated prior to 1988
Current RN licensure is also acceptable
Basic knowledge of the Biological, Physical, Behavioral, Social, and Nursing sciences
