Job summary

This role requires strong communication, organization, and comfort with electronic medical records. You will participate in care coordination, education, and quality improvement efforts while adhering to safety and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the practicing state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days if required.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for exams, record vitals and medical history.
• Perform lab tests (strep, wound culture) following aseptic techniques.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures (pelvic exams, colposcopy, EMG).
• Administer medications per orders, including IV therapy within scope.
• Educate patients on tasks, appointments, referrals; coordinate care.
• Document patient information and communicate with health care team.
• Manage exam rooms and labs, stock supplies, and maintain equipment.
• Complete routine maintenance and quality monitoring of clinic equipment.
• Participate in patient-centered initiatives and quality improvement.
• Provide age-appropriate care and knowledge of growth and development.
