Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification to be obtained within 45 days unless exempt by department lead.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients by taking vital signs and documenting health information.
• Perform basic lab procedures and specimen collection using aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications under physician orders, including IV therapy as allowed.
• Provide patient education and coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments.
• Communicate with the care team and document patient status accurately.
• Assist in advanced clinical tasks under supervision (e.g., sutures, catheterization, EKG).
• Maintain and organize exam rooms, labs, and equipment.
