Job Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON, a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs as a licensed caregiver, responsible for assigned residents/patients during a shift. Duties include coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the care plan, managing the environment for safety, supervising nursing assistants, and adhering to all policies and procedures, including those outlined by the State Nurse Practice Act.

Required Education and Experience

• Licensed in the State as an LPN
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
• Ability to calculate drug dosages
• Meet all health requirements mandated by law
• Positive, effective communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English; basic computer skills with the aptitude to learn company applications
