Job Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON, the LPN performs as a licensed caregiver, responsible for assigned residents/patients during a shift. Nursing care involves coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the resident’s/patient’s plan of care. The LPN adheres to care standards, manages the environment to ensure safety, supervises nursing assistants, and follows all policies and procedures as per the State Nurse Practice Act.

Required Education and Experience

• Licensed in the State as an LPN
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
• Ability to calculate drug dosages
• Meet all health requirements imposed by law
• Effective communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
• Basic computer skills with an aptitude to learn company applications
