Job summary

Southern Health Partners (SHP) is seeking a dependable LPN for the Surry County Jail in North Carolina. The role covers night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM on a rotating schedule, with shift differential available and full-time benefits in a structured correctional setting.

You will provide essential nursing care, administer medications, perform assessments, and document care while coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a National League of Nursing accredited school and holds current license to practice professional nursing in the appropriate state(s).
• Competence in crisis intervention, medical emergencies, physical assessment, medical nursing care, and psychiatric nursing care.
• Ability to work without direct, immediate supervision in performing nursing diagnosis and providing appropriate follow-through treatment. Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
• PREFER: 2 years clinical experience and prior jail setting experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina or a multistate license valid for practice in North Carolina.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain as required.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality, professional ethics, and quality care.
• Ability to work in a safe, secure correctional environment.
• Availability to work the assigned rotating night-shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
