Job summary
Southern Health Partners (SHP) is seeking a dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at Surry County Jail in North Carolina. The Day Shift runs 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM on a full-time, rotating schedule with shift differential.
You will provide essential nursing care in a structured, secure environment and support a dedicated healthcare team. Ideal candidates hold an unrestricted LPN license for North Carolina, CPR certification, strong assessment and documentation skills,
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in North Carolina or a multistate license valid for North Carolina.
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain as required.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and quality care.
- Ability to work in a safe, secure correctional environment.
- Availability for the rotating day shift 6:30 AM–7:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, quality nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions for changes requiring intervention.
- Assist with sick calls, chronic care management, and other patient healthcare needs.
- Respond to medical concerns and emergencies according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to promote patient safety and continuity of care.
- Follow established clinical protocols, facility procedures, and applicable nursing standards.
