Responsibilities

Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants.
Ensure that written policies and procedures governing nursing services are followed.
Keep Nursing Service Procedures Manual up to date and followed.
Cooperate with resident services to coordinate overall care.
Ensure that all nursing service personnel follow their job descriptions.
Perform administrative duties including charting and forms.
Participate in the quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
Assist in discharge planning and resident discharge processes.
Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
