Ascension in Bartlesville, OK is hiring for a Full-time LPN to support the Cardiac Clinic. You will directly care for patients, perform 12-lead EKGs, assist with diagnostics, and coordinate with the medical team to ensure timely interventions.

The role emphasizes patient education on cardiac care plans and medication management. Licensed Practical Nurse with BLS and OK/KS licensure eligibility is required; immediate start within 30 days is anticipated.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date (AHA or Red Cross accepted).
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing prior to hire; OK/KS licensure as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care & Intake: efficiently room patients and record vital signs to establish seamless clinic flow and readiness for cardiac evaluations.
• Diagnostic & Clinical Execution: perform accurate 12-lead EKGs, assist with cardiac diagnostic testing, and administer ordered treatments.
• Care Coordination & Messaging: triage incoming patient inquiries via nursing message pools and coordinate with cardiologists and mid-level providers for guidance and prescription refills.
• Patient Empowerment & Continuity: educate on cardiac care plans, medications, and lifestyle changes to drive recovery and reduce readmissions.

• Direct Patient Care & Intake: Efficiently room patients and record accurate vital signs to establish seamless clinic flow, ensuring patients feel welcomed, supported, and ready for their specialized cardiac evaluations.
• Diagnostic & Clinical Execution: Perform accurate 12-lead EKGs, assist with cardiac diagnostic testing, and administer ordered treatments to provide actionable data for the care team and enable timely interventions.
• Care Coordination & Messaging: Triage incoming patient inquiries via nursing message pools, coordinating promptly with cardiologists and mid-level providers to deliver clear, accurate medical guidance and prescription refills.
• Patient Empowerment & Continuity: Provide comprehensive education on cardiac care plans, medication regimens, and lifestyle modifications, directly driving long-term patient recovery and minimizing clinic readmissions.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. OK or KS state licensure required relevant to where the employee works. Knowledge and skill in writing prescriptions for the Physician as needed.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
