Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a busy, well-respected practice within a large health system. The role offers employed status, with a strong referral base and full system resources to support patient care.

The successful candidate will join a team of 6 physicians and 10 APPs, in a mixed practice setting, and must hold OK NP licensure with prescriptive authority; DEA credentialing is preferred. This position emphasizes preventive care and patient education.

Qualifications

• BLS provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority licensed in OK, or Kansas licensure if in KS facilities.
• DEA credentialed preferred; RN credentialed preferred.

Responsibilities

• Connect deeply with patients to gather histories and perform thorough examinations.
• Educate and advocate for families on preventive health strategies and treatment options.
• Collaborate within a physician- and APP-driven team in a nonprofit health system.
• Provide patient-centered care in a mixed practice setting.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. For incumbents working in Kansas-based facilities, licensure through the Kansas Board of Nursing will be required.
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing preferred.

Education

• Master's degree of Nursing required.
