Job summary

Centurion Health in Westover, MD, is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team at Eastern Correctional Institution. This night shift role provides holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under supervision of RNs and medical staff.

Responsibilities include delivering compassionate care within scope of practice and coordinating with behavioral health teams. Maryland LPN license, CPR/BLS, and corrections experience are preferred; willingness to obtain security

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Maryland.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
• Corrections experience preferred
• Must be CPR/BLS certified
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, drug screen and criminal background check

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Medical) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Maryland
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
• Corrections experience preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
