Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse at Hale Makua Health Services in Maui (Wailuku) to provide professional nursing care to residents following facility policies.

The role requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Hawaii LPN license, plus knowledge of medical terminology. Geriatrics experience and TB clearance are preferred; First Aid/CPR may be done in-house.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Hawaii LPN license.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviation.
• Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards of practice preferred.
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
• First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to residents following established policies and procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician and according to policy and procedures.
• Appraise the family, physician and others of changes/incidents.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapy services, consultants and agencies to improve quality of services and to resolve identified problems.

The Position:
