Maricopa County in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Correctional Health Team. You will administer medications, perform nursing duties, and participate in care planning for inmates within a secure setting.

Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. The position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

Check out our shift differential pay in addition to our base wage:

• Additional $1.75 per hour for hours worked between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• Additional $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 11:00pm - 7:00am

About the Position

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be a vital member of Maricopa County's Correctional Health Team and work in partnership with Maricopa County Sheriff's Detention Officers. You will perform specialized nursing functions, including administering medications, therapeutic treatments, providing extensive patient care, and participating in the planning, implementation, and overall nursing care evaluation.

We Require

• Valid, unrestricted license as a licensed practical nurse issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing or issued by another state recognized by the Arizona Board of Nursing as a multi-compact license state

We Also Value

• Experience as a licensed practical nurse

• Intravenous Infusion Therapy/Venipuncture certification

Working Conditions

• Ability to work inside a jail
• Ability to respond to emergencies
• Ability to get on the floor to perform CPR/chest compressions, push medical equipment, climb stairs, and lift patients on a gurney that may weigh up to 35 pounds
• Be assigned to various clinical locations in the Phoenix area within a 5-mile radius
