Role Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care to individuals in a correctional health setting, following established nursing protocols and under the supervision of registered nurses and medical providers. The LPN documents all care accurately in medical records, assists with sick call and chronic care clinics, and supports providers during examinations and procedures. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Pendleton, IN, requiring consistent attendance and the ability to work assigned shifts, including possible evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Indiana and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated clinical skills in medication administration, basic patient assessment, wound care, and routine treatments in an acute or long-term care setting.
• Strong documentation and communication abilities, including accurate charting, clear reporting to providers, and effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
