Emerald Nursing & Rehab Mercy in Omaha, Nebraska, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for day and night shifts. You will provide direct nursing care, administer medications, monitor residents, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Nebraska LPN/LVN license required
  • Graduation from an accredited LPN/LVN program
  • CPR/BLS certification required
  • Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and treatments as prescribed by the physician
  • Monitor residents' vital signs, document their progress, and report any significant changes to the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet each resident's needs
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patient care, communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including infection control and safety protocols
  • Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families, helping them understand care plans and health conditions
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including RNs, CNAs, physicians, and therapists, to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care

As an LPN at Emerald Nursing & Rehab Mercy, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing patient needs, providing direct nursing care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals and build positive relationships with residents and their families
