Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Omaha in Omaha, NE is seeking an LPN/LVN or RN to join our Nursing Department. You will assess residents, deliver direct nursing care, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to achieve the best resident outcomes.

Available shifts include 6a-6p, 6p-6a, 6a-2p, 2p-10p, and 10p-6a. This is a Full Time/ Part Time/ PRN position in a supportive, team‑oriented environment that values compassionate, quality care and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Valid LPN/LVN license in Nebraska or multi-state.
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited LPN/LVN program.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
  • Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Communications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients, stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  • Monitor residents’ vital signs, document their progress, and report any significant changes to the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet each resident’s needs.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patient care, communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including infection control and safety protocols.
  • Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families, helping them understand care plans and health conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including RNs, CNAs, physicians, and therapists, to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care.
