Job summary

Amedisys is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide in-home patient care on a full-time basis throughout Oklahoma. The role involves verifying care plans with RNs, collaborating with physicians, teaching patients, and performing essential nursing tasks at patients’ homes.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license in assigned state(s).

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to meet patient needs and report changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform medication reconciliation at visits.
• Perform physician-ordered procedures (e.g. foley catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
