Job summary

Community Care Obstetrics and Gynecology in Latham, NY, seeks a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a busy practice. The role offers a 40-hour week with hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm. A recruitment/retention bonus of up to $3,500 is available.

Responsibilities include vaccines, patient documentation, care coordination, and assisting with in-office procedures as directed by the provider. NYS LPN license required, EMR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS LPN license.
• Experience as LPN in medical practice or Medical Assistant/Patient Care Tech.
• Strong computer skills with EMR experience.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, infection control, and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to document and maintain patient records accurately.

Our Community Care Obstetrics and Gynecology officeis looking for a full-timeLPN to join their team! This is a 40 hour week. The hours are: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.

**This position is eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus!!**

Responsibilities:

• Administer and record vaccines.
• Document verbal conversations with patients when appropriate.
• Document information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
• Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
• Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
• Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. PFT, EKG, nebulizer, medication administration and immunizations)
• Process patient prescriptions.
• Discuss test results with patients per provider's instructions.

Compensation: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour

Requirements

• Valid NYS LPN license.
• Previous LPN experience in a medical practice or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech.
• Strong computer skills with experience using EMR.
• Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols.
• Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control, environmental safety, and patient confidentiality.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
• Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
• Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques.
