Job summary

Community Care Physicians' Family Medicine office in New York is hiring a full-time LPN to join their team. This 40-hour-per-week role focuses on clinical support and patient care in a small-practice environment.

Responsibilities include administering vaccines, maintaining patient flow, recording notes in the EMR, assisting with procedures, and processing prescriptions. A NY LPN license and EMR experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS LPN license.
• Experience in a medical practice or as MA/PCT preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR and medical charting procedures.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our Community Care Family Medicine office is looking for a Full Time LPN to join their team!

This is a 40 hour per week position.

Responsibilities

• Administer and record vaccines.
• Document verbal conversations with patients when appropriate.
• Document information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
• Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
• Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
• Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. PFT, EKG, nebulizer, medication administration and immunizations)
• Process patient prescriptions.
• Discuss test results with patients per provider's instructions.

Compensation: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour

Requirements

• Valid NYS LPN license.
• Previous LPN experience in a medical practice or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech.
• Strong computer skills with experience using EMR.
• Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols.
• Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control, environmental safety, and patient confidentiality.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
• Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
• Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques.
