Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for the Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) unit. This full-time night-shift role runs 7p–7a with 12-hour shifts and offers a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 and a hourly pay range of $27.00 to $30.75, plus benefits.

You will provide bedside care, monitor patient status, assist with medications and IV therapy, document in EMR/EHR, collaborate with RNs and physicians, and uphold safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• LPN/LVN license required.
• IV certificate and Blood Withdrawal certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• Healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment.
• Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support care plans and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
