Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME is seeking an LPN/LVN for a full-time night shift in the Medical-Surgical unit. You will provide bedside care under RN supervision, monitor patient status, assist with medications and IV therapy, and help coordinate patient throughput.

The role requires a current LPN/LVN license, IV and BW certs within 90 days, and a current BLS certification. Prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• LPN or LVN license required.
• IV certification and BW certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment.
• Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support care plans and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides direct and indirect patient care in a dynamic Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg / MST) unit. Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $27.00 to $30.75. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
