Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME is seeking an LPN/LVN for a full-time night shift in Med-Surg. You will provide bedside patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with medications, IV therapy, and support care plans to optimize patient throughput.

Qualified candidates hold an LPN/LVN license, current BLS, and will obtain IV and BW certifications within 90 days. A collaborative, fast-paced acute care environment offers a sign-on bonus and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment
• Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws
• Support care plans and patient throughput
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $27.00 to $30.75.
